FOX follow up on UT sex week

FOX news has done a follow up story on UT and "Sex week."

I just moved  in education committee to ask the finance committee to hold the UT budget until we get answers from UT on their funding of this event.

I also asked the committee to call UT president Joe Dipietro and Jimmy Cheek to respond to questions on this issue from the education committee next week.

Both moves were approved without opposition.

I think UT knows up front that short of an announcement canceling the event they can expect the grilling of a lifetime.

  1. I know I speak for the vast majority of the people of Tennessee, when I say that we are so incredibly proud of you, Senator Campfield, and proud of all you are doing to defend the integrity of the University of Tennessee!

Heartfelt thanks to you and to all who are joining you, in your efforts on this important matter!

  2. It's ok to spend MILLIONS of my tax dollars on coaches who aren't even employed by the University anymore but dare we use 12,000 on sex week.

  3. As a parent of 2 current UT students, I know of a lot a disgusting non-educational crap and instructors I am paying for as a tax payer and as a tuition payer. This is SO over the top. GRILL THEM UNTIL THEY ARE CHARCOAL!!! I do not think highly of those who have influence over our young people but they all seem to sink to a new high on a daily basis!!!

    1. Anonymous, you say you have two children who are currently students at UT. Do you know that, at the first of the semester, when you have to pay their tuition, you are also required to pay a student activities fee, on each of your children. This money, YOUR money, and the money of other parents, is the money which will be spent to pay for them to teach your childrens this filth. It is not a wholesome birds and bees type program - it teaches them about all kind of filthy things they will not be able to get out of their minds, probably for the rest of their lives. Could cause some young people to try out some things which normal children, with good upbringing, would never try. You have a right to be angry - you, as a parent, are paying for this filth to be taught to your precious children.
